Job summary

Ajinomoto (Malaysia) Berhad is seeking drivers to transport Directors and staff to meetings, events and outstation engagements with a focus on punctuality and safety. You will support shift operations, manage dispatch tasks and ensure vehicles are well maintained and ready for use.

The role requires a valid Malaysian driving licence, at least 2 years of related experience, and the ability to work across Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related working experience.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence.
• Good knowledge of roads and routes within Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and surrounding areas.
• Willing to travel outstation and support transportation requirements when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drive Directors and other personnel to meetings, events and appointments, ensuring punctuality, safety and comfort.
• Support shift driver operations, including staff commuting, dispatch work and transportation requests within Kuala Lumpur, Enstek, Sendayan and surrounding areas.
• Maintain assigned vehicle cleanliness, fuel, toll credit and proper air-conditioning.
• Plan efficient routes considering traffic conditions and potential delays.
• Provide transportation for overseas visitors and drive them on outstation engagements when required.
• Assist with loading/unloading personal items and assist other drivers as needed.

Job description

Drive Directors and others appointed management personnel to meetings, events and appointments while ensuring punctuality, safety and comfort.

Support shift driver operations, including staff commuting, dispatch work and transportation requests within Kuala Lumpur, Enstek, Sendayan and other requested areas.

Ensure the assigned vehicle is ready for use at all times, including cleanliness, safety, sufficient fuel and toll credit, and properly functioning air-conditioning.

Plan the most efficient and safest routes by considering traffic conditions, road closures and other potential delays.

Vehicle Maintenance & Care

Maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent working condition and ensure regular servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, tyre checks and other necessary maintenance.

Keep the vehicle clean and tidy, both internally and externally.

Monitor and immediately report any vehicle issues or damage to management.

Ensure all necessary vehicle licences, insurance and other legal requirements are valid and up to date.

Safety & Security

Follow all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a professional and safe driving style.

Ensure the safety and security of Directors and other users during transit, including planning routes to avoid high-risk areas.

Maintain confidentiality regarding Directors’ personal or business-related matters and schedules.

Be prepared to handle emergency situations or changes in plans calmly and professionally.

Administrative & Logistical Support

Maintain detailed records of vehicle usage, tolls, fuel consumption and maintenance.

Prepare cash advances for car wash, car perfume and toll credit.

Maintain daily task records, including time, location, task and date.

Other Responsibilities

Provide transportation for overseas visitors and drive them outstation for sightseeing whenever necessary.

Perform dispatch duties when required, including franking and postage matters.

Support shift driver operations when required by management.

Assist and support other drivers according to schedule during the absence of users, when required.

Carry out duties in accordance with Corporate Affairs and Company policies, procedures and instructions.

Assist with loading and unloading personal items, including briefcases, documents and other materials, as required.

Perform any other responsibilities assigned by superiors from time to time.

Job Requirements

Preferably at least 2 years of related working experience.

Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence.

Good knowledge of roads and routes within Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and surrounding areas.

Able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional conduct.

Responsible, punctual and committed to safe driving.

Willing to travel outstation and support transportation requirements when necessary.

Able to work according to operational requirements.
