Driver Job Description (Singapore)

Job Title: Driver (Light/Heavy Vehicle, Taxi, Private Hire, Lorry, Bus, etc.)
Location: Singapore
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and responsible Driver to transport passengers or goods safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate should have a valid Singapore driving license, good knowledge of road regulations, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain assigned vehicles (car, van, lorry, bus, taxi, etc.).
• Follow planned routes or GPS navigation to ensure timely arrivals.
• Transport passengers or goods in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (check fuel, oil, brakes, tires, etc.).
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
• Assist passengers with luggage or loading/unloading goods when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
• Report accidents, delays, or vehicle issues to management.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.

Requirements:

• Valid Singapore driving license (Class 3, 4, 5 for heavy vehicles; PDVL for private hire/taxi).
• Minimum 1-2 years of driving experience (preferred for some roles).
• Clean driving record (no major traffic offenses).
• Familiarity with Singapore roads and traffic regulations.
• Physically fit (for roles involving loading/unloading).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Punctual, responsible, and safety-conscious.

Preferred Skills (Depending on Role):

• Experience with GPS/navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze).
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
• For taxi/private hire: PDVL/TDVL certification.
• For heavy vehicles: Class 4/5 license and relevant experience.

Working Conditions:

• Flexible shifts (day/night, weekends, public holidays if required).
• May involve long hours of driving.
• Some roles may require heavy lifting (e.g., delivery drivers).
