Job summary

PESTECH Technology is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to perform diverse CAD design and drafting tasks for engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in documentation control, 3D modeling, and work collaboratively with engineers and designers to ensure project standards are met. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the expanding sectors of power plant automation and railway projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years related experience as CAD Technician or Draughtman.
• Background in electrical, mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
• Experience in rail industry or civil construction is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design/drafting activities and maintain CAD data management.
• Revise and update drawings reflecting design changes.

Job description

Performs a variety of CAD design/drafting activities including preparing and updating drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, establish guidelines and procedures for CAD data management.

Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes to ensure consistent documentation of the project.

Prepare final drawings by studying engineering sketches, specification, and supporting documents etc.

Establish filing guidelines / document control for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.

CAD database management and maintenance.

Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; conferring with engineers.

Collect information and other data regarding the design.

Coordination actual layout plan

Handle complex designing and draughting assignments under minimal supervision

Work together with engineers regarding model/drawing accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation

Work closely with designers, engineers, drafters to ensure coordination design effort is maintained

Review drawings for completeness and accuracy

Update and maintain drafting log

Develop 3D models and 2D drawings

Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team

Manage CAD checklist to minimize error in drawing as standard practice in view of draughter perspective.

Assist and support design team to meet deadline of submission (teamwork)

Requirement:

Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 2 to 5 years related experience as CAD Technician or Draughtman in engineering and/or construction industry

Background either in electrical, mechanical, civil or structure

Experience in rail industry and/or civil construction background is an added advantage
