About the role

This is a full-time position for a Drafter (Interior Design) based in Taman Desa Cemerlang Johor at STRAITS ID & DECOR SDN BHD. As a Drafter, you will play a vital role in the Interior Design team, translating conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings that bring projects to life.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for residential, commercial, and bespoke interior design projects.
2. Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure drawings accurately capture the design intent.
3. Participate in client meetings and presentations to gather and understand design requirements and preferences.
4. Create mood boards, sketches, and detailed renderings to visualize design concepts.
5. Draft accurate and detailed floor plans, elevations, and other technical drawings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).
6. Select furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with the project objectives and client expectations.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interior Design Drafter or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other CAD software.
• Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with the design team.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
