Job description

We are looking for a candidate who has experience as a Drafter with AutoCAD skills.

Job Description:

• Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) equipment to develop designs, create, and revise production drawings such as Tender Drawings, Construction Drawings, SHOP Drawings, Coordination Drawings, and As-Built Drawings.
• Liaises with engineers for drawing updates and changes.
• Understands drawing specifications and written instructions provided by engineers and revises drawings accordingly.
• Assists in material take-offs during tendering, construction, and as-built documentation.
• Conducts site visits for as-built drawings, preparing and reviewing rough sketches with the project team.
• Uses Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools to develop and revise designs and drawings.
• Attends coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and main contractors, preparing necessary drawings during meetings.
• Familiar with electrical and instrumentation installation details and limitations.
• Ensures safety behaviors during job design and execution.
• Performs other duties as assigned by superiors as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possess at least a Graduate Diploma in Engineering, preferably Electrical, or equivalent.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Knowledgeable in electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical installations.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience.

Competency Requirements:

• Excellent skills in AutoCAD (2D).
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit (3D).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Navisworks Freedom 3D Model.
