About the role

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team at BW Scaffold Industries Sdn Bhd, based in PFCC, Puchong, Selangor. As a Drafter, you will play a vital role in the engineering design and production processes, creating technical drawings and plans crucial to our steel manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position offering opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organization.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for scaffolding components and structures.
2. Designing and drafting falsework/shoring and scaffolding drawings following standard guidelines and practices.
3. Producing clear, concise, and accurate drawings.
4. Preparing material take-offs for drawing proposals.
5. Maintaining filing systems for project documentation.
6. Collaborating with engineers, project managers, production teams, and other relevant personnel to ensure designs meet requirements and produce accurate drawings.
7. Interpreting engineering specifications into detailed designs.
8. Staying updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in drafting.
9. Supporting and guiding junior drafters as needed.
10. Continuously improving drafting processes for efficiency and productivity.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Drafter, preferably in the steel manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of scaffolding standards and drafting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality drawings.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Malay.
• Interest in industry trends and technologies, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of scaffolding is highly recommended but not essential.
