About the role

As a Distribution Accountant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all freight and rate card-related matters. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial tracking, analysis, and reporting of distribution costs while supporting budget and forecasting activities. This role plays a critical part in enabling smooth outbound freight operations and providing business insights through data-driven analysis.

This position supports the Europe region and will require working hours from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM (MYT) to align with regional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the key liaison for all freight and rate card-related queries across the business
  • Handle purchase orders and queries related to outbound freight and freight recharges
  • Post manual GRNs and ensure accuracy of financial entries
  • Prepare and upload rate card analyses and related reports
  • Deliver weekly dashboards and presentations to stakeholders
  • Support month-end close processes, including journal adjustments and reconciliations
  • Track and follow up on Distribution Cost Centre activities
  • Support budget and forecast processes related to freight
  • Prepare and upload rate comparisons (actual vs. market) into SAP
  • Coordinate annual PO creation via Coupa
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of rate cards in SAP

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach to both technical and business issues.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; able to manage complex data sets and reporting.
  • Experience working in a shared services environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP (especially SAP SD module) and Coupa is highly desirable.
