Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch Procurement Officer to manage the purchasing and dispatching of construction materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in the construction industry, and will be responsible for sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers and site teams, and ensuring timely deliveries to project locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, aggregates, tools, fixtures, etc.) according to project needs.

Coordinate the dispatch and delivery of materials to various construction sites.

Monitor material stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.

Generate and manage purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.

Liaise with site engineers and storekeepers to schedule timely material deliveries.

Track vehicle movement and dispatch schedules to avoid project delays.

Maintain records in ERP or procurement software systems.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance with procurement policies.

Follow up with vendors to ensure material availability and delivery timelines.

Address any discrepancies related to deliveries, quality, or quantity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement or dispatch within the construction industry.

Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle).

Strong coordination, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage time-sensitive dispatches and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of local and regional vendors and transporters.

Understanding of construction project workflows and urgency of timely material supply.

Basic knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in material handling and delivery.
