Accountabilities
  1. Perform DR planning, development, program execution, maintenance, and testing.
  2. Manage risk, controls, and compliance management, supporting BC/DR audit and examination activities, and development & maintenance of policies, standards & procedures that are aligned with BNM requirements and the best industry standards.
  3. Coordinate with all business and support teams bank-wide in any DR-related activities.
  4. Ensure that IT DR for all critical applications has been fully documented and tested based on their respective DR cycle requirements.
  5. Review and maintain disaster recovery policy, strategy, standards, and processes to recover all critical systems within required time frames.
  6. Provide periodic or ad-hoc reporting and tracking of disaster recovery-related issues and remediation activities.
  7. Coordinate with all relevant support teams and the business to support the recovery objectives of the organization.
  8. Assist the Head of DR in designing, coordinating, and executing BCP/DR annual test exercises for critical business processes, producing test reports including lessons learned, and following up on lessons as required based on the Post Test Report.
  9. Review the Business Criticality Definition (BCD), recovery priorities, timelines, and strategy for proper sequence of recovery components.
  10. Continuously review existing and proposed plans for recoverability effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement, minimally on a yearly basis.
  11. Assist Crisis Management / Incident Management teams during service disruption events and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Relevant Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery certification, e.g., CBCP/ABCP or DRCS.
  • Experience in components of BCP framework such as Business Resumption Planning, Crisis Management Planning, Incident Response Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning, Plan Exercising/Testing, Conducting BIAs.
  • Financial Services/Banking industry experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience in performing assessments aligned with best practices.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage competing demands and priorities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders to foster mutually satisfactory resolutions to control gaps and issues.
  • Ability to build positive relationships across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership and department heads.
  • Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills.
