Accountabilities
- Perform DR planning, development, program execution, maintenance, and testing.
- Manage risk, controls, and compliance management, supporting BC/DR audit and examination activities, and development & maintenance of policies, standards & procedures that are aligned with BNM requirements and the best industry standards.
- Coordinate with all business and support teams bank-wide in any DR-related activities.
- Ensure that IT DR for all critical applications has been fully documented and tested based on their respective DR cycle requirements.
- Review and maintain disaster recovery policy, strategy, standards, and processes to recover all critical systems within required time frames.
- Provide periodic or ad-hoc reporting and tracking of disaster recovery-related issues and remediation activities.
- Coordinate with all relevant support teams and the business to support the recovery objectives of the organization.
- Assist the Head of DR in designing, coordinating, and executing BCP/DR annual test exercises for critical business processes, producing test reports including lessons learned, and following up on lessons as required based on the Post Test Report.
- Review the Business Criticality Definition (BCD), recovery priorities, timelines, and strategy for proper sequence of recovery components.
- Continuously review existing and proposed plans for recoverability effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement, minimally on a yearly basis.
- Assist Crisis Management / Incident Management teams during service disruption events and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- Relevant Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery certification, e.g., CBCP/ABCP or DRCS.
- Experience in components of BCP framework such as Business Resumption Planning, Crisis Management Planning, Incident Response Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning, Plan Exercising/Testing, Conducting BIAs.
- Financial Services/Banking industry experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience in performing assessments aligned with best practices.
- Ability to work independently, effectively manage competing demands and priorities.
- Ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders to foster mutually satisfactory resolutions to control gaps and issues.
- Ability to build positive relationships across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership and department heads.
- Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills.
