Job summary

Flex is seeking an HRBP Director in Batu Kawan, Penang to partner with business leaders on strategic HR matters, including mergers & acquisitions, organizational design, and talent development. This role will lead workforce planning, rewards planning, and HR programs to enable growth.

You will coach managers, drive change initiatives, and ensure HR strategy aligns with business goals while managing cost and engagement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a Human Resource related function.
• Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Typically requires 13+ years of related experience in HR, consulting, project management and change management.

Responsibilities

• Consult and support business leaders on strategic HR matters including organizational design and restructuring.
• Anticipate talent implications and close performance gaps with programs and tools.
• Develop and deliver HR strategy to meet business needs in collaboration with HR colleagues.
• Plan and facilitate HR initiatives such as workforce planning, talent management and rewards planning.
• Lead HR communications and training for managers on new programs and processes.
• Direct responsibilities of others, set goals, and drive initiatives.
• Align business segment goals with human capital strategies and ensure effective implementation.
• Drive lean initiatives and optimize systems, processes, and structures to guide people behavior.
• Monitor people costs and help the business make informed investments in people.

Job Summary

Summary :

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to‑end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission‑critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a HRBP Director located in Batu Kawan, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

• Consult and support business leaders on strategic HR matters, (e.g., Merger & Acquisitions), including organizational design and restructuring, talent management, career development, etc.
• Anticipate talent implications and the impact to the organization. Identify issues and opportunities in closing organizational performance gaps and/or deploy effective tools and programs to achieve strategic vision and goals of the business.
• Consult with business leaders and HR colleagues to develop and deliver a HR strategy to meet the business needs.
• Plan, implement and facilitate HR initiatives (such as workforce planning, talent management and rewards planning).
• Assist with HR communications and training of managers on new programs, systems and processes as required.
• Manage and/or direct responsibilities of others, set goals and drive initiatives.
• Cascade business segment goals and objectives to optimize alignment between business and human capital strategies, ensuring effective implementation.
• Drive efficiency and positive organizational results through lean initiatives, alignment of systems, processes and structures to drive the right people behavior and engagement.
• Achieve increased and sustainable business results through prudent spending on the people costs and assist the business make informed decisions with regard to people investment.
• Drive employee communications within own business segment.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a Human Resource related function. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 13 years of related experience in business with specific experience in HR, consulting, project management and change management.
• Demonstrates expert functional areas of HR, is considered a technical expert in at least one of the functional areas, and possesses a broad breadth of knowledge in other areas.
• Understands the strategic impact of the HR function across the organization and has a thorough understanding of the Company and related business entities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, HR colleagues, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
