About the role

We are seeking a talented and driven Director of Sales to join the team at the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio property located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the hotel's sales efforts, with a focus on driving revenue growth and maximising the hotel's occupancy and profitability.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets

Managing and motivating a team of sales professionals to achieve their individual and team goals

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, travel agents, corporate clients, and other industry partners

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including group bookings, corporate contracts, and leisure travel

Analysing market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to inform sales planning and decision-making

Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute sales-driven marketing campaigns

Reporting on sales performance and providing insights to the hotel management team

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales management role within the hospitality industry

Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Proficiency in data analysis and using sales metrics to drive decision-making

Knowledge of the local and regional hospitality market, including competitors and industry trends

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
