About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Ascott International Management (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. as the Director of Operations for Ascott Gurney Penang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of this premier serviced residence in George Town, Penang.

What you'll be doing

• Ensuring exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction across all areas of the property
• Developing and implementing operational strategies and policies to improve efficiency and profitability
• Managing and motivating a team of operational staff to deliver outstanding results
• Overseeing all aspects of property management, including housekeeping, front office, and F&B operations
• Driving revenue growth through effective marketing, sales, and revenue management
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Ascott brand standards
• Collaborating with the regional operations team to share best practices and drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel or serviced residence operations management
• Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellence
• Strong understanding of hospitality industry trends, best practices, and guest expectations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using hospitality management software and data analysis tools
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with knowledge of Mandarin an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
