Responsibilities
  • Align the department’s financial activities with the IHG financial strategy and ensure financial policies are effectively implemented for the hotel.
  • Oversee daily bank reconciliations, general cashiering, payroll processing with IHG, AP & AR, purchasing, reporting, and compliance with tax legislation.
  • Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems; compile and maintain the General Manager and Department Heads budget and forecasts for all hotel activities.
  • Manage the department’s daily activities, plan and organise work, communicate goals, and schedule employees to ensure proper coverage.
  • Create a positive and productive work environment; build, motivate and upskill the Finance department to ensure high engagement.
  • Monitor overall financial targets including overhead and related efficiency targets, overall budget, and Hotels GOP & revenue targets.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a similar Director of Finance and Business Support role with reputable brands.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and consistency of all financial data submitted to the General Manager, IHG, and hotel owners; ensure accurate and timely preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; accountable for annual budgets and monthly projections.
  • Strong internal stakeholder and owner management, brand delivery expertise, and the ability to influence and implement the IHG and hotel agenda.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to lead and develop teams and influence across all areas of the business.
  • Strategic thinking and openness to new ways of working to drive the hotel forward and deliver unrivalled guest journeys.
