Position Overview:The Director, Machining (AGM level) will take charge of a key leadership role overseeing the Group’s machining and die-casting operations. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Operations, this strategic position is accountable for achieving revenue, profitability, and growth targets. You will optimize business performance, ensure continuous process improvement, and lead a substantial workforce of 500-1000 people. This role is based in Thailand or Vietnam and requires travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve revenue, profitability, and growth targets for machining and die-casting operations.
  • Optimize value, business performance, and sustainable growth.
  • Ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, service, cost-effectiveness, and resource allocation.
  • Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and reduce costs/cycle times.
  • Implement and maintain strict quality control to meet industry and customer standards.
  • Manage inventory to meet production demands and delivery schedules.
  • Plan and control department expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Analyze KPIs and generate performance reports for senior management.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and evaluate employees, fostering team development and succession.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO certifications, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Uphold and demonstrate company core values and Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 8 years of hands-on senior managerial experience in managing manufacturing and precision engineering operations with a workforce of 500-1000 people.
  • Prior engineering or operational experience in precision machining engineering component manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, driver, team-builder, high integrity, and ability to effectively lead change, both internally and externally, in a positive manner.
  • High persistency/perseverance in complex or high-pressure situations.
  • Good business acumen and strong with numbers and financial discipline.
  • Proven problem-solving, strategic thinking skills and analytical capability to translate into high impact strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the Group.
