Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia is seeking a Director – Compliance, Risks & Permanent Controls to provide independent oversight of operational risks, align with the Risk Framework, and lead the Corporate Compliance function in Malaysia. You will manage a small team and coordinate with home jurisdictions to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Law degree or equivalent and 10–15 years in risk/compliance, with strong leadership and stakeholder management in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Law or relevant field required.
• 10–15 years of mixed experience in 2nd Line of Defence, overseeing compliance, operational and enterprise risk.
• Proven leadership experience in the function and in matrixed settings.
• Strong experience in corporate compliance and risk management within the Second line of defence.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of Operational Risks for Malaysia in line with risk framework.
• Lead Corporate Compliance across Malaysia and manage a two-person team.
• Ensure adherence to current and emerging risk regulations in the region.
• Support risk governance bodies and escalation with home jurisdictions.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Law or relevant field
