Job Description:

Manages virtually (by phone, electronically, or social media) a set of assigned or acquired accounts based in Australia. Builds, maintains, and forecasts sales pipeline, creates and develops account plans. Works closely with outside sales, channel partners, and/or end customers to move sales opportunities to closure. May generate and qualify leads to create new sales opportunities. Sets and executes sales strategy for assigned accounts, territory, or industry vertical.

Role Expectations:

Applies an intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues. Works on moderately complex problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis and limited project guidance. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and policies. Evaluates circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities:
  • Sells moderately complex solutions, products, and services for assigned accounts, potentially partnering with field sales or selling independently.
  • Creates account plans for medium to high complexity accounts.
  • Generates, qualifies, and reviews leads to drive sales opportunities; collaborates with partners or outside sales as needed.
  • Understands client requirements and positions solutions to meet their needs, driving retention strategies.
  • Builds targeted sales pipelines and forecasts data-driven sales activities.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in IT or Sales.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience with the Australian market.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in account management, acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Understanding of company’s product portfolios.
  • Knowledge of IT and industry solutions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Depending on role, may require a hunter or relationship-selling approach.
  • Proficient in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
