Job summary

DFI Retail Group in Malaysia seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, execution and closure of key initiatives within the program portfolio. You will create detailed project plans, manage scope, schedule, budget and resources, and ensure delivery of tech solutions that meet business goals.

You should have at least 5 years in project management, with digital application implementations preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in project management, with digital app implementations preferred.
• PM/Agile certification preferred (PMP or Agile Scrum Master).
• Proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Industry knowledge in FMCG or retail is a plus.
• Strong leadership with ability to influence across functions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and deliver under pressure.
• Experience in retail tech like E-Commerce, POS and Store Operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and Senior Management/Steering Committee
• Create and maintain relevant project documentation such as project charter, project plans, status reports and operational checklists

To be successful for this role, you will ideally:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or relevant disciplines
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a preference for those with experience in digital application implementation project.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Scrum Master Program certification preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Extensive sector domain knowledge and able to work with senior management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under pressure.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua/Mandarin speaking and writing ability is an advantage
• Demonstrate a strong awareness of the uses of retail technologies within the industry sector and specifically within competitive or associated organisations operating in the same market
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organisation, FMCG or retail industry is an absolute advantage
• Knowledge in E-Commerce, POS and Store Operation will be advantaged
