Job summary

Pickle Addicts is seeking a motivated Digital Marketing & Social Media Intern to manage social channels, craft content, and analyse performance. The role covers content planning, growth monitoring, and assisting with Meta ads campaigns in a fast-paced sports/pickleball brand.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a marketing-related diploma/degree, with a passion for social media analytics and creative content development. On-site in Ipoh, Malaysia.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage Pickle Addicts' social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and maintain a content calendar.
• Analyze content performance and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist in planning, setting up and monitoring Meta advertising campaigns.

We are looking for a motivated and creative Digital Marketing & Social Media Intern to join Pickle Addicts. You will be involved in managing our social media platforms, creating and scheduling content, analysing performance, monitoring industry trends and assisting with digital advertising campaigns.

This internship is suitable for someone who is interested in social media, content marketing, digital advertising, analytics and the sports/pickleball industry.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and creative Digital Marketing & Social Media Intern to join Pickle Addicts. You will be involved in managing our social media platforms, creating and scheduling content, analysing performance, monitoring industry trends and assisting with digital advertising campaigns.

This internship is suitable for someone who is interested in social media, content marketing, digital advertising, analytics and the sports/pickleball industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management & Content

• Monitor and manage Pickle Addicts’ social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

• Assist in planning and maintaining a consistent social media content calendar.

• Schedule and publish social media content regularly.

• Assist with creating content ideas, captions and promotional materials.

• Support the production of Reels, TikTok videos, product showcases and promotional content.

• Monitor comments, messages and audience engagement where required.

• Keep up with current social media trends and identify suitable trends for Pickle Addicts.

2. Social Media Analytics & Reporting

• Track content performance, including reach, views, engagement, likes, shares, saves and audience growth.

• Analyse content performance and identify which content formats and topics perform best.

• Prepare weekly and monthly social media performance reports.

• Compare performance across different platforms and content types.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve future content performance.

• Monitor competitors and conduct regular competitor and industry analysis.

3. Digital Marketing & Meta Ads

• Assist in planning, setting up, executing and monitoring Meta advertising campaigns.

• Assist with managing Facebook and Instagram advertisements.

• Monitor advertising performance, including reach, impressions, views, clicks, engagement and conversions.

• Analyse campaign results and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Assist in testing different creatives, audiences and campaign approaches.

• Prepare advertising performance reports and provide recommendations.

• Assist in developing creative content and advertising materials for promotional campaigns.

• Work closely with the team to improve advertising effectiveness and achieve campaign objectives.

4. Marketing & Campaign Support

• Assist with product launches, restocks, promotions and seasonal campaigns.

• Assist in creating marketing materials for new products and promotional activities.

• Research pickleball, sports and social media trends to generate new marketing ideas.

• Support community events and promotional activities when required.

• Work closely with the team to develop new ideas to increase brand awareness, engagement and sales.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, Advertising or a related field.

• Strong interest in social media and digital marketing.

• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

• Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics.

• Basic knowledge of Meta Ads is an advantage.

• Creative, proactive and willing to learn.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

• Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut or other content creation tools is an advantage.

• Interest in sports or pickleball is a plus.
