Digital Manufacturing Operations Staff/ Sr Staff Engineer

Purpose Statement:

The role is responsible for optimizing and managing the processes and systems involved in manufacturing operations using digital technologies. They utilize tools such as automation, data analytics, simulation, and machine learning to improve efficiency, quality, and agility in manufacturing processes. Their role involves implementing digital solutions to streamline production, reduce costs and enhance overall performance in manufacturing facilities.

Key Job Accountabilities:
  • Regarded as a "go to" technical specialist, leader and mentor within their Manufacturing discipline; and/or regarded as a cross-discipline leader and mentor for product/process development, process improvement or troubleshooting within site/region, as it applies to their role.
  • Serves as a technical and/or project team lead providing technical guidance/training, controlling scope, schedule, budget and ensuring overall technical success on small to mid-size Plexus Manufacturing Processes, as it applies to their role.
  • Leads continuous improvement activities associated with their engineering discipline and/or project-level tools or processes, as it applies to their role.
  • Provides customer service leadership in project technical discussions, business continuity and new proposal creation.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or science is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum Eight (8) years of related experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
Other Qualifications:
  • Advanced computer skills. Proficiency in CAD and CAM software for designing and programming manufacturing processes. Thorough understanding of PLM systems to manage product lifecycles effectively. Proficiency in simulation and data analysis software are crucial for optimizing production workflows and analyzing manufacturing data. Familiarity with automation technologies and basic programming knowledge.
