D&IT Business Solutions Manager

This role supports and maintains a portfolio of applications within a geographically distributed team, driving standardization and efficiency. It ensures third-party vendors meet contractual obligations within budget and may lead system rollouts, including planning, data migration, and go-live. The incumbent collaborates with stakeholders to identify capability improvements, align with roadmaps, and explore innovations. All activities are executed in compliance with JTI’s governance standards, project management framework, and best practices.

As theD&IT Business Solutions Manager under the area of D&IT,you will:

• Design and oversee the implementation of enterprise-grade Data Lake architectures (Azure Data Lake / Fabric).
• Define best practices and standards for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and access
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams, enterprise architects, vendors to validate architecture designs and ensure high-quality execution
• Drive the transition from traditional Azure Data Warehouse to modern Data Lake platforms
• Develop and implement a data governance framework that supports data lineage, access control, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, local data privacy laws).
• Lead multi-country data consolidation projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
• Maintain project documentation, risks, and dependencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required.Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, or Business Analytics is a plus.

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with strong exposure to Data Lake architectures (Azure Data Lake).

• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration strategies.(Azure blob, Azure DB, Azure ADF, Azure Databricks

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, DAMA, PMP/Prince2) are advantageous

• Proven track record in data governance, including experience with tools like Purview, Collibra, or Informatica.

• Experience leading cross-functional, multi-country data projects with both internal teams and third-party vendors.
