- Develop and recommend business strategies & marketing plans.
- Plan, execute, and maintain strategic collaborations with government agencies, state government agencies, GLCs, MNCs, and business associations (Bumi and Non-Bumi).
- Stay up-to-date with current political, economic, business, and market conditions and the latest industry developments.
- Assist in originating high value-added deals aligned with the division’s goals.
- Conduct business development activities to expand market footprint.
Digital Initiative
- Assist in promoting and onboarding eligible SME customers into SMEXpert.
- Assist in developing, preparing, and obtaining approval for digital marketing collaterals from internal stakeholders.
- Assist in reviewing and obtaining internal stakeholders’ approval on SMEXpert content.
- Conduct app demos tailored to merchant’s understanding and tech-savviness.
- Prepare documentation for internal approval on SMEXpert Merchant.
- Serve as the main contact for merchants for inquiries, questions, and feedback.
- Identify strategic ventures, collaborations, new product programs, and process/feature improvements for existing and new products.
- Conduct competitor studies, activities, and campaigns to inform improvements or strategy refinements.
- Propose online sales strategies on e-commerce platforms, including planning and organizing promotional activities and executing campaigns to generate leads for the bank.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications: Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Law, or related disciplines.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in the banking industry and relevant sectors.
- Minimum 2 years in the e-commerce industry.
- Experience in other banking fields (e.g., Business Banking, Structured Trade, Contract Finance, Trade Operations) is an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging at all levels.
- Deep knowledge of SME products.
- Understanding of Shariah-compliant banking products.
- Established network of merchants.
- Outgoing, marketing-oriented, and result-driven with a passion for achieving targets.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to work independently.
- Self-driven and focused on achieving division goals.
- Excellent leadership qualities, capable of working as a team player and independently.
