Job description

Summary
You will be responsible for providing quality nutrition and dietetics services and manage the overall food service nutrition system according to established hospital therapeutic standards. Lead a team that is committed in continually improving food quality standards, address patients’ dietary requirements and maintain an excellent working relationship with all hospital and internal stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for monitoring compliance to existing and future food and nutrition policies, procedures and standards.

· Function as the main interface with the hospital’s chief dietitian and food production team, communicate dietary requirements from the hospital stakeholders to production staff, keeping in mind practicality of cooking and the food production process.

· Work closely with executive chef and food production team to develop new menu or improve menu items.

· Oversees the entire control room operation and ensures the team operates efficiently and practise consistency.

· Provide on-going guidance and education to the team on current and emerging trends in health food services.

· Facilitate the development of clinical and non-clinical skills in dietetics students during their food service placements.

· Conduct audits of therapeutic meals produced to ensure conformance to dietitian requests and therapeutic requirements.

· Stay updated with industry developments and techniques for cost savings and process improvement.

· Address patients’ dietary queries where requested by hospital stakeholders/ management.

· Any other administrative and related duties as required by the management.
