Putra Medical Centre in Kedah (Alor Setar) is hiring a Dietitian to conduct nutritional assessments and provide counselling to inpatients and outpatients. Conduct nutritional assessments for patients based on their medical condition, nutritional status, dietary intake and laboratory results.
Work closely with doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Provide nutrition counselling and education to inpatients, outpatients and their family members.
Conduct health talks, nutrition programmes and public awareness activities.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient nutrition records.
Document nutritional assessments, interventions, counselling, and patient progress.
Prepare reports, statistics and other documentation
Maintain proper records in accordance with hospital policies and applicable professional standards.
Comply with all hospital policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and clinical guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and clinical audit activities.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, infection prevention and occupational safety requirements.
Participate in hospital accreditation, regulatory inspections and departmental audits.
Attend relevant training, conferences, and continuing professional development programmes.
Assist in training and supervising students or interns when required.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition and Dietetics, or equivalent recognised qualification.
Registered with the relevant professional or regulatory body, where applicable.
Preferably with 1 years of relevant working experience; fresh graduates may also be considered.
Experience in a hospital or clinical setting will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets and food service management.
Good communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
