Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining system performance, automating workflows, and ensuring high-quality deployments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, deploy new features, and implement security best practices, while continuously improving processes and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor system performance, investigate alerts, and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with teams in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approach to resolve challenges and deliver new features.
  • Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines for automated integration and deployment.
  • Automate manual tasks to enhance efficiency and productivity (e.g., Jenkins files, shared libraries).
  • Maintain and improve production support and development cycle documentation.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including compliance checks and secure deployment processes.
Experience Required
  • 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and/or developer experience.
  • Experience in the finance, banking, or insurance sector is preferred.
Academic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Alternative learning paths (e.g., coding bootcamps) will be considered.
  • Certification in DevOps practices is an advantage.
Technical Skills
  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, RTC, SonarQube, and JUnit.
  • Experience in development using Java.
  • Knowledge of Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure (Linux servers, JBoss, Tomcat).
  • Proficiency in Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
  • Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, release, and test management).
