Grow together

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in the software development and IT operations lifecycle, focusing on enhancing collaboration and integration between development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams. Here are the key responsibilities and functions of a DevOps Engineer:

  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
    • Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate the process of software development, testing, and deployment.
    • Ensuring that code changes are automatically tested and deployed to production environments.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
    • Setting up monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana) to track application performance and system health.
    • Analyzing logs and metrics to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Facilitating collaboration between development and operations teams to improve workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
    • Participating in agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to enhance project management.
  • Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
    • Responding to and resolving incidents in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Conducting root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
  • Security Practices:
    • Integrating security practices into the development and deployment processes (DevSecOps).
    • Ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.

Overall, a DevOps Engineer's role is to streamline the development and deployment processes, enhance collaboration between teams, and ensure the reliability and performance of applications in production.

Work in an Agile project methodology environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams within ITS.

Demonstrate a growth mindset, taking ownership of projects from end-to-end, and leading the team to successful outcomes.

Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:

As a DevOps Engineer, having experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, or Google Cloud) is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) will also be an integral part of this role.

You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day incidents for GCDB (Global Customer data base) and will be required to work in shifts, including evening and night shifts. Application support experience is essential, as you will be troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.

You are a technology aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Action). Having an ITIL certification is a significant advantage as it demonstrates your capability in IT service management.

You are able to work independently, prioritize, and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly essential.

An array of benefits for you:

  • Hybrid work arrangements to balance in-office collaboration and home flexibility.
  • Outpatient (unlimited) and inpatient medical coverage for employees.
  • Personalized flexi benefit plan for you and your family.
  • Choose any day off from earned public holidays, including Saturdays and ad-hoc holidays to spend with your loved ones.
  • Modern offices with free parking space.

Great Team
Hi, my name is Tan Boon Kian and I’m a team manager. I started my career at DHL IT Services back in 2001, when I took a role as Software Engineer in the Shared Service team. Gaining more hands-on experience with product management has always fascinated me, so I moved to the Shared Service – Genesis. From there, I moved fast through the company ladder and soon landed a Product Manager role. In 2016, I moved to a management role, being Head of Department. Together with the strong support of a multinational & diverse team, we are working on our common ambition – technology. Looking forward to having you onboard!
