Job description

As DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Digital Translation Team involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support the development and deployment of maritime digital solutions such as the Maritime Digital Twin (MDT). You will work closely with software developers, cloud engineers, and data scientists to enable continuous integration, delivery, and automation in a secure environment

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and microservices supporting maritime digital initiatives.

• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, availability, and security issues.

• Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to automate workflows and streamline operations.

• Maintain container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) for deploying and scaling services.

• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in software delivery and infrastructure management.

• Support incident management and disaster recovery planning.

• Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, tools development, and knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Skills

• Background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience as a DevOps engineer or similar role, ideally in cloud-native environments.

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Understanding of networking, security protocols, and compliance frameworks relevant to government and maritime sectors.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

• Good communication and documentation skills.
