Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to join our IT Systems Engineering team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS). This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security for our applications.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure for a .NET platform on AWS and VMWare.
  • Develop and automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal reliability and performance of our applications.
  • Partner with Cloud Security to implement and enforce security best practices to protect our cloud-based systems and data.
  • Collaborate with the wider technology team to manage pipeline gates.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and site reliability engineering.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability in cloud environments.
What you need to have
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or software engineering role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of .NET, particularly C#.
  • Proven experience with automation tooling such as Octopus, Jenkins, PowerShell, Ansible, or Chef.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tooling such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or AWS ECS.
  • Strong proficiency in managing code pipelines and implementing CI/CD processes.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server operating systems and related technologies.
  • Experience working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience with private cloud technologies such as VMware or OpenStack is a plus.
  • Background in software development and operations, with expertise in automation tooling, orchestration tooling, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Experience working on and delivering multiple products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment.
