About the role

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this full-time DevOps Engineer role at UQPAY SDN. BHD. is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our software systems.

What you'll be doing

• Automate and streamline the software delivery pipeline, including build, test, and deployment processes
• Manage and monitor the company's cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
• Collaborate closely with software developers to integrate DevOps practices and tooling into the development lifecycle
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Continuously research and implement new technologies and best practices to improve the company's DevOps capabilities
• Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, particularly with AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Extensive experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with containerisation and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
