Job summary

CONVERGENT is seeking an experienced destination supply manager for Malaysia. You will own the end-to-end supply pipeline, negotiate with operators, onboard partners and launch new products across Chinese B2B/OTA channels and selective global channels.

You will build a destination map, qualify suppliers, manage contracts and ensure content, rates, and availability are ready for market launches. Travel 30%–40% is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in travel, OTA, DMC, attractions or operations.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia's travel supply ecosystem.
• Native or business-level Malay; English for contracts; Mandarin a plus.
• Experience managing the full supplier lifecycle from prospecting to launch.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data management.
• Willingness to travel 30%–40% within destination.
• Legally eligible to work full-time in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end destination supply pipeline for Malaysia: market mapping, supplier acquisition, commercial negotiation, contracting, product-content readiness and launch.
• Prioritize direct operators and accountable fulfillment partners for Chinese B2B/OTA channels and selected global channels.
• Build and continuously update a destination map of priority cities, categories, suppliers and gaps in Malaysia.
• Source and qualify attractions, operators, DMCs, transport providers and partners through outreach and field work.
• Lead supplier discussions, qualification checks, negotiations, contracting and onboarding coordination.
• Drive signed suppliers through launch readiness with content, packages, rates, availability and media assets.
• Maintain supplier relationships and keep rates, inventory and content current; seek exclusivity or joint development opportunities.
• Collect and validate licenses, permits, insurance and safety docs, especially for transport and higher-risk activities.
• Collaborate with product ops, distribution, customer service, finance and tech to resolve onboarding and fulfillment issues.
• Maintain auditable CRM and provide weekly coverage, contracting progress, market intel and risk updates.
