Design & Engineering Manager

Our client is an established fixtures & fitting manufacturing company. Currently, they are looking for a passionate professional to join them as the Design & Engineering Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Set ambitious goals for the D&E team and communicate them clearly, providing motivation, support, and guidance to all staff.
• Regularly monitor and review staff performance, intervening as needed for improvement.
• Prepare detailed drawings for fixtures and ensure accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) are formulated within deadlines.
• Coordinate with the Machineries Department to ensure accurate cutting lists are prepared before production.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across all drawings, BOM, and cutting lists.
• Circulate the correct versions of drawings to relevant departments and maintain organization in line with client confidentiality requirements.
• Communicate any changes to drawings promptly to all relevant departments.
• Conduct weekly meetings with the D&E team to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Foster efficient collaboration between departments, including production, project management, procurement, and senior management.
• Develop more efficient packaging methods for products.
• Prepare and submit monthly D&E reports on time.
• Handle any additional tasks assigned by management as needed.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Production Management or related fields.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, product design, and development.
• Proficient in research and development processes.
• Experience in renovation or furniture industry preferred.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
