A civil engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Civil Engineer to develop designs for projects and ensure compliance with standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 1 year of experience preferred. The role includes responsibilities like maintaining design reports and inspecting prototypes. This is a 6-month contract position with an anticipated start in December 2025.
Develop design for a particular project given and meet clients' requirements (discuss with Head of Department on project given)
Ensure all designs comply with standards and specifications (check and verify all design before submission for approval)
Prepare and maintain Raw Material Requirements (RMR) for all standard designs
Develop and upgrade design and maintain design capability and efficiency at a high level
Develop and maintain design reports, drawings and specifications to REI Standard filling system
Inspect and approve prototypes
Ensure project handled will meet client's satisfaction
Participate in meetings for on-going projects
Attend site works if there are defects in structures
Prepare technical data for bidding purposes
Prepare weight estimation for tendering purposes

Assist in review of tender specification and drawings.
Any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by superior or senior management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in structural design (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
Experience in design verification/checking is an added advantage.
Familiar with structural steel design and connections (bolts and welding).
Knowledge of international design codes and standards.
Proficient in design software such as STAAD Pro, MStower, or equivalent.
This position is for a 6-month contract.
Priority will be given to candidates who are available for immediate hiring, with the expected start date in December 2025.
