Job summary

Yobbi Consultancy seeks a Design Director to lead the design team, craft strategy, and ensure a cohesive user experience across crypto wallets, payments, and live content platforms. You will guide UI/UE and branding work, driving innovation and design excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 8+ years in UI/UE design and brand design, Mandarin/English proficiency, and prior design management experience in sizable tech organisations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in design-related majors with relevant education in art design/visual communication.
• Proficient in Mandarin and English reading and writing skills to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in UI/UE design and brand design.
• Design management experience in Internet companies or large enterprises; familiar with design processes for medium/large projects.
• Experience in mobile product design and understanding of cryptocurrency, payments, live sports streaming, etc. is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team, formulate development strategies and raise overall design level.
• Guide daily work of UI/UE designers, advertising designers, and creative designers; provide professional guidance and feedback.
• Develop and implement design strategy for product consistency in style and user experience.
• Participate in positioning and strategy for products; promote design innovation to stay competitive.
• Oversee UI/UE design for all apps to improve user experience.
• Own brand visual identity across media.
• Develop and maintain design standards; optimize workflow and ensure timely delivery.

Design Director

Responsibilities:

Team management and construction

• Lead and manage the design team, formulate team development strategies, and improve the overall design level of the team
• Guide the daily work of UI/UE designers, advertising designers, and creative designers, and provide professional design guidance and feedback

Design strategy and innovation

• Develop and implement the design strategy of the company's products to ensure consistency in design style and user experience
• Participate in the overall positioning and strategy formulation of the company's products, promote design innovation, and ensure the competitiveness of products in the market

Product design and optimisation

• Responsible for the UI and UE design of all the company's apps (including cryptocurrency wallets, payment wallets, information live broadcasts, etc.) to improve the user experience of the products

Brand design and creativity

• Responsible for the visual image design of the company's brand and ensure the consistency of the brand in different media

Design standards and process optimisation

• Develop and maintain design standards and specifications to ensure consistent design quality
• Optimize design workflow, improve design efficiency, and ensure on-time project delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in design-related majors, with relevant educational background in art design, visual communication, etc.
• Proficient in Mandarin and English reading and writing skills. (To liaise with Chinese Speaking client)

Work experience:

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience in UI/UE design, brand design, etc.
• Have design management experience in Internet companies or large enterprises, and be familiar with the design process and management methods of medium and large projects
• Candidates with extensive experience in mobile product design and a certain understanding of cryptocurrency, payment, sports live streaming, etc. are preferred.

Skill requirements

• Proficient in Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
• Familiar with the user experience design process, with excellent user research, interaction design and visual design capabilities
