Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design lightning protection system for solar PV farm and/or associated buildings.
2. Design network schematic diagram and oversee Proof of Concept where necessary.
3. Design secondary circuit including protection relays, metering, auxiliary power, indication & control.
4. Design layouts, SLDs, and termination drawings for projects involving solar PV, Battery Energy Storage System, EV Chargers, and related auxiliaries.
5. Perform testing on machine-to-machine (m2m) communication via various open protocols.
6. Test control and indication signals via electrical means.
7. Support the internal team in designing medium & high voltage systems.
8. Assist with resolving high fault level issues.
9. Support relay protection coordination efforts.
10. Assist with power quality issues before and after PV installation.
11. Support configuration of communication devices remotely or onsite.
12. Coordinate with the team on TNB SCADA requirements, liaising with utility providers.
13. Assist with interconnection facility requirements, liaising with authorities, reviewing drawings, testing, commissioning, and site work if necessary.
14. Communicate effectively with project teams and external stakeholders such as suppliers, contractors, and consultants to meet design requirements.
15. Familiarize with MS and IEC standards as the basis of design principles.
16. Plan, develop, and execute ideas, engineering solutions, or other value-added items aligned with the company's roadmap.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
2. One year of experience in BESS, electrical secondary systems, and HV 132kV-275kV electrical power design.
3. Valid driver's license.
4. Proficiency in English and Malay, both spoken and written.
