Job summary

Jora Malaysia is hiring an engineer to review customer requirements, project specifications, drawings and scope of work; translate them into practical designs and detailed technical documentation.

You will develop technical solutions based on client needs, site conditions, applicable standards and project budget, while preparing BOQ, cost estimates and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements, project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
• Prepare engineering designs, layouts, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Develop technical solutions based on client requirements, site conditions, applicable standards, and project budget.
• Prepare BOQ, material take-offs, and equipment schedules.
• Calculate material, equipment, manpower, installation, subcontractor, and other project costs.
• Prepare detailed project cost estimates and ensure costing accuracy.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive project pricing.
• Evaluate technical specifications, datasheets, and supplier proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
