Job summary

Weststar Aviation Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Design and Technical Services Engineer (Avionics) to join its offshore helicopter services team. The role requires a minimum degree in electrical engineering and at least one year of experience in electrical system integration and avionics.

You will work with CAMO and AMO to develop engineering solutions for fleet operations, and you will prepare designs, tests and wiring diagrams to support certification.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering and related field
• Minimum 1 year experience in design of electrical system integration and avionics
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Robust problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Experience in design organization focusing on electrical system integration in aircraft is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Part 21 regulatory requirements and familiarity with Certification Specifications are preferred
• Experience in Part M organizations is valued

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Technical Services personnel on minor design changes or repairs
• Collaborate with CAMO and AMO to develop engineering solutions for fleet operations
• Liaise with CVE to ensure compliance with certification specs and basis requirements
• Prepare design and compliance documents aligned with type certification basis, OSD and environmental protection needs
• Prepare test plans, reports, equipment qualification, installation instructions and ICA supplements
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, harness/wire routing drawings and ELA supplements; conduct system safety and EWIS assessments

Prepare design & compliance document with the compliance to the type certification basis, OSD and environmental protection requirement

Prepare test plan, reports, equipment qualification, installation instruction and ICA supplements

Prepare schematic and wiring diagrams / harness / wire routing installation drawings, and harness build up diagrams / electrical load analysis (ELA) supplements, system safety assessment, EWIS Assessment, compliance inspection plans.
