Primary Objective:

YUZU is actively seeking a Malaysian qualified Derivatives & Finance Lawyer who is readily available to undertake upcoming client assignments. In this role, you will support our international banking clients, playing a crucial part in our banking and finance legal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Negotiate and review a wide range of financial services documents, including derivatives documentation, structured notes documentation, commercial lending agreements, and trade finance contracts.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all financial transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  3. Provide legal advice and support to various banking teams on a broad spectrum of global markets matters.
  4. Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes related to financial services.
  5. Assist in drafting, modifying, and finalizing legal documents and financial services agreements.

Qualifications:

  1. Law degree and a current valid license to practice law in Malaysia.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a derivatives lawyer in a reputable law firm or a major financial institution.
  3. Strong understanding of financial instruments, derivatives, structured notes, and trade finance.
  4. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  5. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Familiarity with international banking regulations and practices is a plus.
