Job description

Deputy Manager (Learning and Development)

Basic salary, performance bonus, yearly increment, medical benefits.

  1. Coordinates the Training Needs Analysis and Annual Training Plan.
  2. Coordinates the External & Internal Training nominations.
  3. Ensures documentation of training records for Internal & External Audits.
  4. Manages the HRDF claims and tracks usage for the company’s benefit.
  5. Develops and drives the Leadership Curriculum for Junior and Middle Management levels.
  6. Facilitates in-house programs for Supervisory, Junior Management, and Middle Management levels.
  7. Develops On-The-Job Training (OJT) programs and coordinates to ensure upskilling of the Operations team.
  8. Drives the digitalization of the Training & Upskilling function to ensure efficient tracking of employees' skills development and training costs.
  9. Develops a repository of approved training providers for internal capability building.
  10. Coordinates the Quality Control Circles (QCC) Program to enhance employee involvement and skills development.
  11. Coordinates the Annual Chairman Awards Program to promote employee engagement and development.
  12. Supports VP HR with benchmarking best practices against competitors.
  13. Participates in group-level projects as required.
  14. Collaborates with other HR Section Heads as needed.
  15. Carries out any other duties assigned by the immediate leader.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in related functions within an industrial/manufacturing MNC environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with HR Systems (Workday, SAP HR, or Oracle HR) and Excel.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence and gain trust within the organization.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English; decent proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and PowerPoint content development; ability to lead and facilitate internal training.
  • Superb time-management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to facilitate engagement sessions.
