Job Description:

Main Function:
Origination and execution of Islamic Securities.
Identifying and securing corporate advisory opportunities such as privatisation and merger and acquisition for existing and potential clients.

Other Function:
Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties/assignments as directed by superiors according to business needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Origination of Islamic Securities.
  • Identifying and securing corporate advisory opportunities such as privatisation and merger and acquisition for clients.

Maintain awareness of current political, economic, business, and market conditions, along with industry developments. Build and maintain a network of industry contacts and liaise with regulatory authorities. Assist in identifying new business opportunities through professional contacts or marketing efforts. Support internal assessment and due diligence on transactions and clients. Review client requirements and help formulate appropriate transaction structures and terms. Conduct consultations with regulators, rating agencies, legal counsel, and other advisors regarding transaction feasibility. Prepare and present financing proposals and mandate letters to clients, assisting in negotiations. Ensure clients accept and return mandate letters.

Execution of Islamic Securities and syndicated financing transactions involves:

  • Assisting in the due diligence process, coordinating and participating in Due Diligence Working Groups.
  • Preparing and presenting submissions to the Bank’s Shariah Supervisory Council for transaction approval.
  • Supporting credit evaluation and preparing credit papers for financing committees and boards.
  • Managing the transaction execution process, including preparation of Information Memoranda and coordinating meetings.
  • Handling regulatory approval submissions, ensuring full legal compliance.
  • Coordinating legal documentation, assisting legal counsel, and ensuring legal documents are in order.
  • Monitoring the operation of accounts originated by the team.
