RESPONSIBILITY AND DUTIES:

The Deputy CEO will work closely with the CEO to drive the Perpetual's strategic direction, execute high-level initiatives, and ensure long-term growth and sustainability. The Deputy CEO will oversee operations, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and lead key initiatives, including spearheading digital transformation efforts. This leadership role demands expertise in financial management and analysis to guide the company through critical decision-making processes, including the transition from the ACE Market to the Main Market.

Strategic Leadership and Stakeholder Management:

  1. Collaborate with the CEO to manage the group of companies, including the management services entity and the subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and strategic objectives.
  2. Develop and implement business strategies that drive growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
  3. Collaborate with C-suite executives and consultants to align operational activities with the company’s strategic goals, including oversight of the marketing department and project management office (PMO).
  4. Act as a liaison between the CEO and key stakeholders, facilitating communication and strategic initiatives.

Company Growth and Market Transition:

  1. Drive the company’s transition from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  2. Drive the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, optimizing operational processes, and enhancing overall efficiency.
  3. Oversee financial performance, resource allocation, and operational strategies to maximize profitability and value creation.
  4. Ensure that performance targets are met and communicated effectively to the key stakeholders.

Digital Transformation:

  1. Drive the company’s digital transformation journey by spearheading initiatives to integrate technology into the business operations.
  2. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to stay ahead of industry trends and enhance service delivery.
  3. Evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to streamline operations and improve customer experiences.

Leadership and Team Development:

  1. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing executive team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  2. Ensure that the company’s leadership and staff are aligned with the company’s values and strategic direction.
  3. Promote professional development and career growth opportunities for senior management and staff.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION LEVEL & MAJOR: Candidate must possess bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field. An MBA or other relevant degree is preferred.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in executive management.

REQUIRED LANGUAGE: Good command of English, Malay, and Chinese dialects.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. Proven track record in managing multiple business entities and driving growth and operational efficiency.
  2. Demonstrated experience in leading innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
  3. Significant experience navigating both the ACE Market and Main Board, with a strong understanding of financial markets and regulatory environments.
  4. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to think strategically, manage change, and drive results.
  6. Strong understanding of the memorial parks industry or related services is advantageous.
