Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Deputy Accounts Manager at VOLAC Wilmar Feed Ingredients Sdn Bhd (a member of Wilmar Group of Companies) located in Pasir Gudang.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA, CIMA, or similar qualification is a plus.
• 5–10 years of working experience in accounting, including handling full set of accounts and management reports.
• Able to do financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and explain the results clearly.
• Experience working in a manufacturing company is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of accounting rules, audits, and internal controls.
• Comfortable using accounting software and Excel. Experience with SAP or similar systems is helpful.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently, manage time well, and meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end and year-end closing, and preparation of full management accounts.
• Prepare accurate and complete financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct financial analysis, budget monitoring, and variance analysis to support strategic business decisions.
• Ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee tax reporting, audit schedules, statutory submissions, and liaise with auditors and tax agents.
• Support and participate in the annual budgeting process, including data consolidation, review, and reporting.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations (e.g., AP, AR, payroll, cash receipts) to ensure accuracy, while focusing primarily on higher-level financial reporting and planning.
• Collaborate with the UK team and other cross-functional departments to align reporting and ensure smooth communication.
• Implement and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial policies.
• Manage and maintain accounting systems and ensure timely and accurate data entry.
• Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries and decision support for management.
• Ensure compliance with all financial reporting deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Handle any other accounting duties or projects as assigned by senior management.
