Job description
Overview

Responsible for overseeing retail deposit matters, implementing strategies (including campaign/product development) to grow deposit and implement procedures to manage deposit in the bank and retail environments.

ANNUAL BUDGET AND BUSINESS STRATEGIES

  • Achieving deposit sales, volume and revenue targets as set by the Bank.
  • Assist in preparation of annual retail deposit budget.
  • Foster the growth of consumer deposits.
  • Assist in the development of business strategies and marketing initiatives to drive and support business plan.
  • Assist in planning, execution and tracking of business initiatives on a timely basis.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & PROCESS RE-ENGINEERING

  • Assist in preparatory work relating to introduction of new innovative deposit products or enhancement of existing deposit products.
  • Assist in dealing with Corporate Communication/Marketing Communication for all launches and activities.
  • Assist in performing Product Annual review.
  • Keep abreast of financial industry development, emerging government, industry trends and corporate strategies in the local and international banking industry.

CAMPAIGN & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure marketing initiatives and activities are executed according to the business strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Grow deposit balances, increase customer base and product profitability.
  • Ensure proper alignment with CASA % mix against industry standards.
  • Ensure resources at Branches are sufficient to support the campaign and/or initiatives.
  • Exercise due care and diligence on matters relating to Money Laundering and KYC in implementing new requirements, updating and revising operating procedures.
  • Ensure Post Campaign Analysis is conducted and are in place for all marketing programs and campaigns and to identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensure that Agrobank’s brand value and identity are consistently and effectively represented in the right tone and manner for all product collaterals.

ANALYTICS

  • Utilize reports, segmentation and behavior analysis to develop efficient strategies/campaigns.
  • Assist in preparing monthly tracking of balances and revenue growth are provided for progress reporting to committee and management.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Assist in preparation of all reports due to local regulators such as PIDM & BNM.
  • Assist in preparation of reports and ad-hoc updates for MANCO, ALCO and other related committees.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL COLLABORATION

  • Maintains contact with all clients (internal & external) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, especially among the group of Companies, Government & Semi Government bodies.
  • Responsible to organize marketing events/talks/presentations regionally for the purpose of creating awareness, promotion on deposit, fee based income products and fostering good relationships.

RISK AND COMPLIANCE

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with the relevant guidelines and policies.
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws including Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA).
  • Manage a culture that emphasizes internal control to ensure adherence to the Bank’s routines.
  • Ensure strict compliance to Banking policies (e.g. Secrecy), BNM guidelines (e.g. AMLA, PDPA, FTFC), Prohibited Business Conduct, internal HR policies, SOPs, etc.

POLICIES, SYSTEMS, PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES

  • Implement policies, systems, processes and procedures to fulfill procedural/legislative requirements while delivering quality, cost-effective service.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices aimed at improving business processes, cost reduction and productivity.

OTHERS

  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management from time to time or as necessary for the effective realization of the job purpose.
