Dr Chong & Co Dental Clinic in Langkawi, Kedah, is seeking a motivated Dental Surgery Assistant to join the team in a full-time capacity. You will support dentists during procedures, prepare instruments, maintain clean treatment rooms, and manage patient registrations and records.

The role emphasizes infection control, efficient multitasking, and a friendly, patient-centered service approach in a busy dental practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: SPM or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness, safety and quality service.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Dental clinic experience is an advantage; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and ready for patient appointments.
• Perform proper sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments in accordance with infection control guidelines.
• Support patient registration, appointment scheduling, and record management.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of dental supplies and assist with inventory monitoring.
• Safely handle and dispose of clinical waste following healthcare regulations.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Carry out administrative and operational tasks to support the daily activities of the clinic.
