Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in restorative dentistry or oral surgery. You will prepare the treatment room, welcome patients, drape them, and provide instruments and materials as directed.

You will maintain infection control, sterilize instruments, assist with model work, restock materials, and communicate with patients and staff throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Prepares treatment room for patients by following procedures.
• Welcomes and drapes patients and prepares them for dental treatment.
• Assists dentist with instruments and materials during procedures.
• Maintains infection control and sterilizes instruments.
• Pours and trims models and handles case check-ins.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepares patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting seating and draping patients
• Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare treatment room for dental treatment with correct instruments/materials for use as directed by the operator
• Hand dental instruments to dentist in an accurate and timely manner
• Provide pre-and post-operative instructions for patients undergoing general or local anesthesia.
