Job summary

KLIDC(SOUTHERN) is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to support dentists with chairside procedures and patient care in a busy clinic. You will prepare rooms, arrange instruments, and maintain sterilisation and infection control standards to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Shift work, weekends and public holidays may be required in this growing clinic.

Qualifications

• SPM/O-Level or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years experience as Dental Assistant preferred.
• Experience with sterilisation and infection control procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Willingness to work shift hours, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
• Assist dentists chairside during examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Prepare and arrange dental instruments, materials and treatment trays.
• Perform sterilisation, disinfection and infection control procedures.
• Assist dentists in handling dental and medical emergencies.
• Ensure treatment rooms, equipment and clinic areas are clean and well maintained.
• Monitor supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Maintain accurate patient and clinic records.
• Provide friendly professional support to patients throughout their visit.
• Assist with basic administrative and front-desk duties as needed.
• Receive deliveries and file documents properly.
