Job description

We are looking for a talented Demi Chef & Commis Chef to join our dynamic team at ROOTS F&B (KL) SDN BHD in our Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur location. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily preparation and cooking of menu items

Following recipes and culinary techniques to ensure consistent high-quality food production

Ensuring all kitchen equipment, tools and work areas are clean, sanitized and well-maintained

Collaborating with the team to develop new menu ideas and improve existing dishes

Adhering to all food safety and health regulations

Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive work environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment

Diploma / Certificate / Degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for food

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure

Position level and salary will be based on experience and performance during the interview.
