Position: Demi Chef/Chef de Partie – Bakery

Are you passionate about baking and have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for an enthusiastic Bakery Demi Chef or Chef de Partie to join our talented pastry and bakery team! Your role will be essential in crafting high-quality baked goods for our daily operations and special events.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Produce a wide variety of baked goods, including artisan breads, rolls, viennoiserie (croissants, Danish pastries, etc.), and sweet treats.
  • Ensure high-quality and consistency in all bakery products through proper techniques and attention to detail.
  • Apply expertise in fermentation, proofing, and various baking techniques to achieve optimal results.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with HACCP regulations.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak hours and high-volume production periods (banquets, events, retail).
  • Assist in developing new menu items and seasonal bakery promotions.
  • Organize and manage bakery production schedules to meet daily operational needs and special event requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and guide junior staff or trainees as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the pastry team to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
  • Open to Malaysian only
  • Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in a bakery environment (hotels, resorts, banquets, or production bakeries preferred).
  • Strong expertise in bread-making and viennoiserie, with knowledge of artisan bread techniques.
  • Familiarity with food hygiene standards (HACCP certification is an advantage).
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining product quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to contribute to menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset to work alongside the pastry team and assist junior staff.
  • Experience in a central kitchen or a bakery focused on banquets is a plus.
