Job summary

Nestlé is seeking a Demand Planning Executive to enhance the accuracy of demand forecasts and improve supply chain responsiveness. Qualifications

The Demand Planning Executive will aim to improve the accuracy and reliability of the Demand Plan by projecting the most realistic estimate of customer demand and managing exceptions to enhance the responsiveness of the Supply Chain in fulfilling customer needs.

Day in a Life
  1. Maintain Data and Systems: Create and maintain master data in planning systems, minimize errors, avoid duplication and obsolescence, and ensure system hygiene in collaboration with Customer Services.
  2. Collate Information and Assumptions: Ensure commitment from all functions, maintain good communication with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance, and incorporate external/internal trends impacting demand.
  3. Manage Portfolio and Lifecycle: Use system functionalities for exception management, reflect product lifecycle, and collaborate with Marketing and Sales regarding product launches and portfolio decisions.
  4. Develop and Maintain the Forecast: Use statistical models, generate demand forecasts, and ensure stability while considering recent events and forecast accuracy.
  5. Share and Publish the Forecast: Provide demand plan information through reports and communication, and share best practices with other Demand Planners.
  6. Track and Manage Demand: Follow-up on sales and POS data, and implement actions to address deviations from the plan.
  7. Measure and Track Performance: Improve forecast accuracy, reduce bias, and implement process improvements for efficiency.

At least two years of relevant operational experience at the market or business level in areas such as:

  • Finance: Business Planning / Dynamic Forecasting
  • Supply Chain Development

If prior experience is not in a commercial role, a mission in a Sales-related function is strongly recommended.
