Overview
To lead the demand planning function, ensuring accurate forecasting, effective inventory management, and alignment with sales, marketing, and production strategies. The Demand Planner Manager will play a critical role in optimizing supply chain operations, minimizing costs, and meeting customer demands in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models, historical data, and market trends.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional and seasonal factors into forecasts.
- Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Lead the monthly S&OP process to align demand forecasts with supply capabilities.
- Ensure cross-functional communication between sales, marketing, and production to address potential gaps.
- Inventory and Stock Management: Optimize inventory levels to balance stock availability and minimize holding costs.
- Monitor and report on stock movements, slow-moving items, and potential shortages.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Generate regular reports for the Chief Commercial Officer, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the production planning team to ensure timely product availability.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize delivery schedules based on demand patterns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in demand planning.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance planning accuracy.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management. Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing industries.
- Preferred Skills:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets.
