Job description

Our Client is a chain of operational centres that form an integral part of a global Oil & Gas giant. They are focused on driving excellent corporate performance in Human Resource, Finance Operations, Customer Operations, Supply Chain (Order to Delivery), Contracting and Procurement, Legal Services, Global Operations, and Creative Solutions.

The Decommission Analyst will work closely with Connectivity Project Delivery, Portfolio, Support Partners, Business IT/SOM, and other functions to ensure the decommissioning and disposal of Connectivity assets are carried out through the standard retirement and disposal process, adhering to standards and compliance requirements.

Required Experience

Good understanding of processes with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in IT asset decommissions and disposal activities.

What You Will Do

• Serve as the single point of contact for queries and issues related to asset decommissioning and disposal.
• Coordinate asset decommissioning and disposal activities with Project Delivery, Business SOM, Support Partners, and suppliers.
• Schedule and manage change requests for physical decommission activities and transfer assets to central storage with suppliers and Business IT/SOM.
• Arrange logistics with Business IT/SOM and suppliers to ship assets from sites without stockrooms to main sites with central storage prior to physical disposal.
• Ensure disk wiping and disposal evidence are collected and stored in CMDB.
• Update CMDB according to the status of decommissioning and disposal activities.
• Perform analysis and create tracking reports for decommissioning and disposal activities.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of corporate IT experience.
• Good understanding of general IT asset decommissions and disposal processes.
• Operational knowledge and experience using ServiceNow (request, change, configuration, and reporting modules).
• Experience working with multiple third-party vendors to ensure delivery completion.
• Ability to work in a virtual team across multiple time zones, with flexibility for off-hours availability.
• Self-starter with strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; experience in a global virtual team environment is an advantage.
