Job Summary
Senior debug technician and mid-range programmer responsible for the In-Circuit Test Engineering Process and related attributes that can affect the process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze daily process yield reports, including operator errors, defective products, test equipment/test defects, RMA product defects, and spear corrective actions.
- Analyze downtime data of stations to set guidelines for preventative maintenance scheduling.
- Display proficiency in fixture mechanics, including probe replacement, fixture hardware repair/replacement, and fixture operation.
- Perform mid- to high-level software debugging, including digital, powered, shorts, pins, JX/OX, testjet, and analog, with knowledge of boundary-scan basics.
- Analyze and repair issues promptly to meet department goals for minimal test downtime.
- Provide solutions and training on high-level diagnostic issues to diagnostic technicians.
- Understand and analyze engineering tools such as schematics, BOMs, ECN/ECO, deviations, and fabmaster.
- Implement low-level engineering changes while maintaining test coverage.
- Apply various programming languages and editors, including HP-Unix, BT-Basic, vi, and emacs.
- Prevent ICT test escapes.
- Update and generate documentation as needed.
- Increase production yields in real-time by analyzing data and applying process fixes for NDF-type failures to meet goals or escalate manufacturing issues for root cause analysis.
- Maintain continuous flow of the manufacturing line and meet production goals while performing test duties.
- Follow all safety, health, and security procedures as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge Requirements
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents, including regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effective in presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
- Familiar with numerical systems such as Hexadecimal, ASCII, and Binary.
- Strong mathematical skills, including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Capable of defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Proficient in operating a personal computer with Windows and related software, including Jabil’s software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
- Ability to follow simple instructions and deal with standardized situations.
- Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and graph interpretation.
